Mill-turn machines

Mill-turn machines

Mill-turn machines combine turning and milling in a single setup. This allows for the manufacturing of complex plastic components in one workflow without the need for re-fixturing between multiple machines. The result is high precision, shorter lead times, and more consistent quality.

The machine type is particularly suitable for components where both turned and milled features are present, for example grooves, faces, threads, holes and complex contours. By consolidating multiple machining processes in one machine, the risk of tolerance drift between operations is reduced, while simultaneously making production more efficient.

Mill-turn machines are often used for technical plastic components with high demands on accuracy and repeatability. The solution is suitable for prototypes, small batches, and larger production runs where optimal process control and high quality in the finished part are desired.
